Aikido training for adults in Amsterdam

Build confidence. Learn self-defense. Find your calm.

"Aikido is not about guiding others along the right path, it’s about guiding yourself."
- Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido

More than exercise. More than self-defense. A complete practice for body and mind.

Modern life is demanding. Stress builds, focus fades, and finding balance feels impossible. Aikido gives you practical tools to handle it all—building physical capability and mental resilience in one practice.

STAY CALM UNDER PRESSURE

Release daily tension through focused movement and breath control. Develop the mental clarity and composure to handle stress at work, at home, and in unexpected situations. Aikido teaches you to respond, not react.

BUILD REAL-WORLD FITNESS

Aikido develops functional strength, balance, and coordination through dynamic movement. Improve your posture, flexibility, and body awareness while learning skills that actually matter.

DEFEND YOURSELF WITHOUT FIGHTING

Learn to control situations without fighting. Use leverage and timing—no aggression or brute force required.

TRAIN FOR LIFE, NOT JUST MONTHS

Unlike high-impact martial arts, aikido's low-injury approach means you can practice for decades. Build a sustainable practice that makes you stronger as you age, not worn down.

What is Aikido?

Aikido is a Japanese martial art focused on redirecting energy rather than opposing force.

Aikido teaches effective movement, practical self defence and the art of staying calm under pressure.

Unlike striking arts like karate, aikido uses an attacker's momentum against them—making it effective for any age, size or fitness level.

What you will learn and experience?

Master essential principles of movement, breathing, and posture. Learn self-defense techniques with sword handling, falls, and dynamic motions—all in a welcoming, supportive community.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have martial arts experience, you will receive guidance every step of the way.
